Denby Pottery Care Guide

Denby Care Guide

If you've just treated yourself to a beautiful product from Denby, then we're here to help you look after it.

At Koko & Smokey we only look after the stoneware and cast iron from Denby, so if you want to have a little look on how to look after your porcelain, check out Denby's care guide here.

Stoneware Clay

Our favourite! Stoneware clay from Denby is beautiful and incredibly durable. They are so confident in their clay that they even have a ten year guarantee on it, which you can read all about here.

Denby's stoneware products are also fully vitrified meaning the surface is made glossy and non-porous, giving it lots of strength, durability and chip-resistance.

Stoneware is allowed in the dishwasher, however overuse can cause discolouration. We recommend if you do use the dishwasher, to use low temperatures.

You can pop your stoneware into the oven up to 250 degrees centigrade, and freezer use is ok too.

If you want to use your stoneware in the microwave, please avoid putting just the stoneware in i.e. no food or liquids in. This can cause damage to the stoneware and the microwave.

Explore our stoneware collection here.

Cast Iron

You'd be please to know the Denby's Cast Iron collection is also durable and for multi-purpose. Denby also have a guarantee for this too which you can read here.

You can put Cast Iron in the oven up to 250 degrees centigrade and it is suitable for all heat sources.

If you would like to use your Cast Iron on a glass hobb, please see the hobb's manufacturer guidance, and do not slide the Cast Iron over the top.

When using utensils, please use heat resistant silicone, plastic or wooden utensils only. We wouldn't want to cause any damage.
